Dreaming of Buenos Aires...

I want to spend a month traveling around South America. Go pick up Angie in Panama or Costa Rica or wherever the heck she is these days, and just take a trip a la Che Guevara except that instead of going up I would want to work my way down and then
around the continent. Maybe stop by Colombia to visit Richard and Ecuador to visit Valeria. Then stop by Peru to visit Lourdes and a stop in Brazil to hang out with the elusive Jon.

I want to broaden my horizons as I feel like I am becoming to complacent with my existence. I am becoming one of those people who talk about wanting to do things but get sucked into their lives and then do nothing. It seems to me that this comes with the whole "American way".

I want to wake up with the sun on my face every morning, and then spend the day in my flip flops awed at the beauty of something. ANYTHING.

If only I could leave right now...

A wise man once told me... "Whenever you feel like doing something exciting just get off your ass and do it."

Thanks dad.

But anyhow, miss lady go ahead and do it. You are still young and full of life. Don't wait until you are 50 or 60 years old. Do it now.

I live in Florida so everyday I wake up with the sun on my face. And I love it. Yet I still feel the urge to travel. I have not seen Europe yet. That is where I would go. London, Paris, Tuscany, areas of Spain, and Prague.

I empathize with you. But travel is expensive. Only go if you have the dough.

I sooo know what you mean Annush, I've been talking about a trip to Scandinavia with Wicked for almost the past two years, and somehow there's always some other priorities, economic and timewise. We did go on a wonderful trip to the UK and Ireland a couple of years ago, and that's something I'll never regret.
You're young, you have nothing to hold you back... do everything in your hands to do this, it's something you won't regret.

Sometimes I really do wonder if you are on crack gabe...

I think that so far I'm doing just fine seeing the world without joining the military. Hell, if my seeing the world depended on me joining the military, I would probably not see anything outside the borough of manhattan!

But hey, I support the troops, and for anyone who thinks that's the way to do it, more power to them.

How come nobody ever wants to go someplace cold and wake up on an ice floe? I wake up with the sun in my face every morning, then I curse, roll over, pull a pillow over my head, and try to get another 40 winks before the alarm goes off.
After you get to the bottom of South America, will you continue on to Antarctica? You can bring us all back penguin pelts as gifts.

I've had the pleasure of visiting Equador, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela. Amazing places to visit, but don't expect luxury.

Hehehe no Annush I only smoke cigars, in any case for some reason ever since I was a kid I've always wanted to visit Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia, instead of Europe and anything else. Don't get me wrong i still would like to visit the rest of Latin America and Europe hell I even want to go to Antartica and the North pole and say wazzup to Santa but I wont feel complete until I at least visit North and Sub Sahara Africa and the Middle East. Hopefully those days will come soon. :)

Buenos Aires is beautiful. I have friends who live there and all they want to do is come to the U.S.A. How the heck does that happen?
:)

Follow your dreams, young one.

How typical that someone who would leave a comment like that would not have an email address or a blog of his own where I can leave a response accordingly!

Did I say that I idolized Che Guevara? No. All I said was that I wanted to take a trip like his and if you almighty, arrogant, know it all had taken a trip like that I would want to do it just like you!

Oh and in the future, you don't need to quote Time magazine. Formulate your opinions based on information before you give me any shit!

Oh and for future reference, look at a map and learn that Dominican Republic is NOT in South America it's in the Caribbean!
