Last night we had a little dinner party to celebrate that my brother Ivan is in town. His visit, despite the current mess in my apartment, has me absolutely elated so I’m doing just about anything I can to keep him happy and around.
Due to the fact that I only have four sets of EVERYTHING (except cups…I now have 6) our guest list was limited to Dan, Margherita, and Charley the dog. Margherita cooked spinach spaghetti with chicken a la mustard. It was great!
Yes, I am the only person in the world who will throw a dinner party and make the guests cook…but I can’t cook so it’s either that or take-out. Besides, Margherita is a true Renaissance woman/Domestic diva.
We had a great time during dinner, but it was during the after dinner socializing that we had the most fun. It was cool to sit around the table being silly and busting each other’s chops. This is what I like about old friends that no matter how stupid, in silliness there is fun.
Family portrait!
Jessica (the friend who showed up late) is missing from the picture but you know how it is…someone had to take it :P
During this time we spent most of our conversation, which was by the way about making out in cars (not the kind of conversation I want to have with my brother!!!), looking at Charley lick himself and play. It must be good to be a dog!!!
After a while, Jessica and Ivan left to go bar hopping and Margherita, Dan and I, being the old farts we are, stayed behind. We had strawberries and raspberry applesauce for dessert and just hung out. It was at around this time that I remembered that I had some clothes for Margherita.
The girl brings me flowers…she is worth everything in my closet!
Flower :)
Margherita felt that she had to go try on the stuff because she wasn’t sure any of it would fit her properly so while she was doing that, Dan and I amused ourselves trying to waltz in my living room. There were two problems with that:
1. There was no music
2. Charley wouldn’t keep away from our feet
So we stopped.
A few minutes later Margherita came out of the room wearing this really cool top. We looked over at her to give her the Ana & Dan seal of approval; but while she was checking herself out in the living room window, she blurts out:
“I’ve got titties!!!!”
I don’t think Dan and I could have laughed any harder if we had tried. Here was sweet, innocent Margherita fondling her own breasts checking herself out in the mirror. Classic!
Charley was still amusing himself, though this time he was having a romantic moment with Dan’s foot. It must be damned good to be a dog!

I'm in love with Charley! Can you give me his email?
Your party sounded fun. Your friend is funny regarding fondling her boobies, that's what I miss...goofing off with friends like that. When I get back to NY I am going to go back to partying, if my friends are still up to it!
