there are never enough tank tops...

I am sitting at work now and I am so tired I don’t know what to do with myself. In the past 72 hours I haven’t had more than 4 hours of sleep at a time and this worries me because I really thought that my insomnia was gone…at least for a while. Although maybe it’s not insomnia…it’s been a crazy couple of days.

Friday night, I had every intention of being the first in line to get my copy of the
Harry Potter book. At around 9ish I left home with the plan that I would go to Tasti DLite, get me an ice cream and then go to Barnes and Noble as they were having a Harry Potter party and it looked pretty fun when I walked past it earlier (plus I REALLY wanted the HP glasses).

I wish it had been that easy.

After I got my ice cream, I showed up at
B&N to find that there were a million people already in line. That was the end of my “be first in line- get book- leave” dream. So I went home and went to sleep.

On Saturday though, I was the first person at
B&N when it opened. I got my book, and by the time I got to Miami on Sunday (I got to Miami at 9am) the book had been read.
All I have to say about HP6 is that this is my second favorite of the entire series (my most favorite being HP4). I laughed, I cried, and then I called everyone I know to tell them what happened at the end hahahahaha.

Anyway, I was in Miami for about 36 hours. Wow! What a trip! I came back last night hungry, tired, and dirty. Not exactly my finest hour; however, the purpose of the trip was accomplished (nothing to do with HWMNBN though I must say that even in his absence the man never seems to cease haunting my existence) and if everything goes well, then I’ll tell you all what that means later.

Two more weeks until I get to see
DMB again…
One month and 17 days until I get to see
Coldplay again…
One month and 28 days until the
Ultra Music Festival
There is the
PS Warmup every Saturday…
Turntables on the Hudson every Friday…

Music warms my insides.

Today I am happy. Despite all the things that are not as they should be at the moment, I have been engulfed by a very pleasant state of peace. I like it.

"And when we meet
Which I'm sure we will
All that was there, will be there still
I'll let it pass and hold my tongue
and you will think that I've moved on...."

"Life without music would be a mistake" (Nietzsche)...I live by that!!! Music is definitely one of life's ultimate pleasures. To hear a song and to transport yourself to a specific moment in time, or be reminded of someone you hadn’t thought of in the longest time, to laugh or cry when a certain tune catches your ear…it’s amazing!!!

10 days 'til I see Dave Matthews Band for the first time!
16 days 'til I see Coldplay for the first time too!

I'm sooo excited!!! Yay!!! Woo-Hoo!!!

Annush, I am also happy that today you are happy.

Picked up my copy of The Half-Blood Prince Saturday. Have been too tired to start reading it, but can't wait to get into it.

I never thought it possible to be tired AND happy at the same time.

It's a good quality that is. If I'm tired, I'm generally grumpy.

I just got HP6, "Harry Potter and the Enormous Royalty Cheque", so I haven't read it yet, but I agree that HP4 was the best of the first five.
