Lead me into temptation no more!

Even on Good Friday I still have to come to work. Unfortunate, I know. But I really shouldn’t complain because for the past two days I’ve been going home early due to stomach malfunctions caused by an overdose of coconetes my mom sent me from Santo Domingo last weekend with Jadal.

Last week while Ivan was here I was craving some dulce de leche really badly for some odd reason so I called her to ask her to send me some with Jadal, who I knew would be coming this week. Well, she sent every variety of dulce de leche she could find along with a bag full of the aforementioned coconetes.

I don’t know what she was thinking. Seriously, this is a woman who KNOWS what I can, will, can not and will not eat yet she sends me all of that! I am convinced that while she was shopping she thought that she was preparing a little care package for will-eat-anything (as long as it’s not McDonald’s) Gus over in London.

This reminds me of the time that I asked my mom to bring me something good from SD, meaning sand in a bag or something, and she shows up at my apartment with a bottle of rum Brugal KNOWING that with 2 drinks of that I am absolutely shitfaced. Who does that???

In any case, I, who have yet to master the art of not giving in to temptation, ate a few coconetes (not even the dulce de leche!) and 3 days later I am still suffering the consequences. I will, however, thank Dan and Jadal for eating the rest of the stuff because had they not I would probably be dead by now. GRRRRRR. Then people wonder why I don’t eat junk food, fast food, fried food or stuff that I can’t decipher how it has been prepared.

…Which brings me to the finger-in-the-chili issue.

That just sucks. I can’t imagine that poor lady eating her chili and finding a finger in it. But that is just another example of why fast food is bad food. I bet she won’t be eating at Wendy’s ever again! Hell, I don’t even think that Ashley, my Wendy’s enthusiast intern, will be eating there again, though she says:

“I’ll eat the chicken sandwich still”

Ewwwwwww. gross.

I admit I ate some french fries at Mickey Dees Last week. (that was cute that you had a link to MC btw)

Its gross cause I know there is meat fat in it. But I grew up eating them so I am addicted to the ingredients? Is it a half day there at least??

PS I went to Puerta Plata a few years ago!
