I am so happy I could cry.
Like I said in my last posting, my brother is graduating from college in a little over 2 weeks and I am going. The cool thing is that he goes to school in London so my vacation begins a week from now getting aboard the Queen Mary 2 for seven days of luxury and fun that culminate in Southampton, England. Woo Hoo!
Although most of the trip is going to be very family oriented, I am expecting to have a fabulous time because I do plan to get away from them at some point. I am like a one woman U.N. I have friends EVERYWHERE and it’s important for me to catch up with them. I’m particularly looking forward to seeing Daniela and Anastasia. It’s been a while since I’ve caused any kind of trouble with either of those two.
After London, I am supposed to be going to Budapest for a few days. For this I will probably end up calling in dead for work, but it’ll be worth it. The rest of my family has planned to take advantage of what my mom calls “the 20 minutes of peace” and go to Jerusalem and Palestine. I would like to go, but were I to go, I’d want to explore and catch up with a few friends who live there so to go for a few days seems like a waste.
I am so happy. Traveling rocks!
…and to think that only 20% of Americans have a passport and only like half of them actually use them…

If you're going to call in dead, I just hope your boss doesn't read your blog...
La envidia me corroe!
That is cool.. Have a nice time.
And the passport thing reminds me of a funny anecdote. I was ready to come back to India from US and had put the moving sale notice in my office. So this female colleague of mine who came to inquire about the furniture actually asked me "So are you going to drive down to India?"
That was one time I had to try extra hard to hide my natural reaction.
that sounds like an awesome trip! Have fun, I hope you find time to blog. ; )
Thats so great! Vacations rock. I am sure that you'll have a great time, and I'll just stay here...mumbling about how I want to steal your ticket from you...
hehe...no no, I am very happy for you!
Calling in Dead... hehe very cute. I wish I could do that!
i'm lucky that i get to use my passport from time to time, but i have NEVER been on a cruise (the Nova Scotia/Prince Edward Isles ferry doesn't count, right? It does have a casino, i think...)
I know! I heard about the american passport thing. How true is that? HAVE GREAT TIME! I get seasick and I've been on two caribbean cruises!
Southampton is a great place with a fantastic nightlife.
I hope you enjoy your time here in the UK.
Wishing you the best time on your trip! My daughter and I are going to Korea and Japan in June. I know how fun it is to be looking forward to a cool vacation. I enjoyed taking a look at your blog.
