Follow the yellow brick road...

There are signs everywhere and the biggest mistake people make is to ignore them. Of this, I’m certain.

This weekend was a wonderful, low-key weekend. Aside from a minor upper west side argument started by someone with a lousy attitude and fueled by said person’s earlier disrespect of a parent I happen to like very much (not my own), I really needed a couple of days such as these.

I did 50% of everything I said I would do and had 100% of the fun I was expecting.

Then yesterday I went to the beach.

Tiffany, Dan and I all raced to Penn Station after a night that included midnight chocolate covered donuts and a walk to the Bronx (don’t ask), and headed over to Long Beach. It was good company and a good time.
Then the sign came.

The cutest little girl EVER, made her way over to where I was laying amusing myself reading the one and only book that has ever made me feel “uncool” and sat down next to me. She then proceeded to touch my stomach and play with my belly button ring. She did this for what felt like forever- in a good way.
I was so having one of these moments again…

I didn’t mind that she was trying to walk off with my flip-flops, or that she was making herself so comfy next to me. For one second, it was almost like I had my very own little blonde haired Fiona (except that her name was really Zyma)…

That’s a sign (or a reminder) if I ever saw one…

Fiona! That was on our 'potential' name list for our girl-child! Love it! Someday, dear one, some day there will be a child, a beautiful dear sweet child. But this time, this "now" time, is all for YOU. Enjoy it all you can!

Does this mean you'll start looking for the right man to be the father? Maybe you could create a quiz and blog it. The perfect guy for you could be one of your blogging pals. :)
Of course, you could always try a sperm bank if you wanted a baby without having an added guy in your life.

Well Annush, if you believe it is the right time to have a child then ask the Lord to send you that perfect man.

But if you think it is not the right time enjoy life because eventually that right guy will come by unexpectedly.

God has strange ways of doing things. So don't despair.

You will definitely be a great mother.

that pic is too the cutest. enjoy your freedom now, and you will enjoy your children that much more later. i am a better mom, i think, because we spent the 1st years of our marriage having fun and building a solid foundation.

I'm sorry I just have to ask, did you get the name Fiona from the movie Shrek? Hehe, now that I asked the stupid question the real one is what inspired you to pick that name? :)
